We all desire to know or find our purpose in life, the purpose we believe God put us on this earth to do. What if our purpose wasn't one particular thing but multiple things, according to how God desires to use us in the time and place we are in.
"The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why." – Mark Twain.
God has blessed me to be on this blue planet for thirty five years and counting. I have had a few days where I believed I found my purpose, only to have God shift me in a different direction. I am at a place now in my life where I don’t ask God what my purpose is, but each day I ask God what purpose have you placed in me and show me how to maximize it. When we seek to “find our purpose” we often relate it to a talent we have or something we love to do. However I have many talents and at specific points in my life each one has had its time in the spotlight, then God would fade it to the background.
My purpose, the purpose that God embedded into my heart when He carefully stitched me together in my mothers womb, is constantly evolving. It will continue to do so the longer I live and the more I overcome fears and challenges in my life. The finest metals and stones don't just pop out of the earth shiny and new, no they must go through the refining process, as long as we are here on this side of eternity we will be constantly refined.
'I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. '
