Morning Coffee 6/18/20 Go!

June 17, 2020

Hello family...

More often than I would like to admit, I don't know what I am going to write about until I start the worship music and open up my laptop to type. I keep my ears and eyes open through out the day, waiting for the Holy Spirit to highlight something. Sometimes He does, just not as much as i would like Him to.

I asked God "Do you want me to write tonight?" He replied "yes". I think to myself "Well God, where is the message?!" We as humans like to have things laid out so we know whats ahead. God doesn't always work like that. He may point us in a direction and say "GO!" and we say something like "Go? How far and where?" We are not the first ones God has given one short commands to.

'The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you." ' Genesis 12:1 NLT . There is not a whole lot of detail in that instruction, but Abram obeyed. Look at the impact it had.

Over the past eight or nine months I have seen the impact of obedience and how critical it is to our Faith walk. I don't want the consequences for not moving when God said move. It is not about what may happen to me but the life or lives that don't get impacted, I do not want that on my hands. It is better that I beat down all the fear and excuses than to do whats comfortable and convenient for me at the moment. Yeah our flesh will kick and scream but more importantly, we will know within our spirit that God is pleased when we complete the task He as given us. We have nothing to lose by yielding to God. If we do lose something chances are it wasn't of much value anyway.

Much Love & God bless
