Morning Coffee 2/28/18 For His Glory

February 27, 2018

17 When Pharaoh finally let the people go, God did not lead them along the main road that runs through Philistine territory, even though that was the shortest route to the Promised Land. God said, "If the people are faced with a battle, they might change their minds and return to Egypt." 18 So God led them in a roundabout way through the wilderness toward the Red Sea. Thus the Israelites left Egypt like an army ready for battle. - Exodus 13:17-18 NLT

Hello Family,

What if Moses and the Israelites marched across the red sea on a pre built bridge? what if the took the shortcut? It wouldn't make for such a awesome story. It would make the story very "run of the mill." And God would get no glory in it. God is not some egotistical, power hungry tyrant! First of all unlike man He actually deserves the Glory! Secondly He wants to use your Red Sea story for two purposes. To draw others out of darkness (Egypt) and into the light and to remind you when you are faced with future trials, you can look back and see how far He has bought you. then you can be encouraged and march forward into the promise land God has for you1

Much Love & God Bless
