Read Psalm 19
1 For the choir director: A psalm of David. The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. - Psalm 19:1 NLT
Hello family, Every night the above message is posted by a fellow writer Dr. Carl G. Chewning , who's blog (Three Iron Nails) i follow. “Tonight I declare the glory of God.” When i first saw it, i thought it was cool. But as time passed it began to speak to me. It became personal.
What am i doing to night that shows that I am declaring the glory of God. As i read it even now the magnitude of these seven words hit home. Many times we say something but our actions don't match up. We are designed to reflect Christ. We are made in the image of God, its in our DNA!
Because our flesh is against what God wants we are always in this tug o war. But we have the holy spirit to guide us and warn us of these tug o war moments. We are provided every day with unlimited ammo from the holy spirit to counter the enemy, to “declare the glory of God.” When Goliath was taunting the Israelites, a skinny Shepherd boy named David got deeply offended!
“Who is this pagan Philistine anyway, that he is allowed to defy the armies of the living God?” (see 1Samuel 17) David answered the giants challenge and that day He declared the glory of God! What giants are waiting for you, at your job, in your sleep, at night, at home?
They want to prevent you from declaring the glory of God.
But guess what? You are a servant of the true and living God, you are in His army! So, Who is this pagan Philistine anyway, that he is allowed to defy the armies of the living God?” Today you will run into some “pagan Philistines”. Don't give in to them, don’t give the enemy any ground. God wants you to reflect Him, so go and declare the glory of God! Not just at night but 24/7!
