READ 1 KINGS Chapter 19:11-13

11 "Go out and stand before me on the mountain," the LORD told him. And as Elijah stood there, the LORD passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain. It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. - 1 Kings 19:11 NLT

Hello family, Sometimes God has to show us his might to remind us that we had no reason to run in the first place. God provided for Elijah even while he was running and to put the cherry on top he displays His power on the moutian.

We have no reason to doubt what God placed in us. We should be like Shadrach Meshach and Abednego, willing to stare danger in the face and not budge eve when our life is on the line. Even if our life ends at that moment, we will be rewarded for our faithfulness. It’s not easy to stand your ground when you are faced with danger. But this is something we must do, this world is getting more and more away from God. And we are going to have to relish on and remember the GOD we serve!

Much Love & God Bless

  1. We can be thankful God is so patient with our fears. I think if a powerful queen like Jezebel would threaten my life, I'd be trembling and tempted to bail out, too. I'm sure this awesome display of God's might convinced Elijah that He was so much more to be feared than Jezebel.

I believe we can all look back on some instance where we felt to do something for the Lord, but Satan rose in full force to persuade us, "You just CAN'T! You're not the one for this. What will they think?" Etc. Then later we look back with such regret because we bailed. For myself, I really wish I could keep this in mind: If I don't follow through on God's direction, someday I'll look back with serious regret.

  2. Doubt comes to us when we become overwhelmed by the distractions of this world. That is why we must daily recharge our spiritual batteries and come back to God. Most people don't do this either because they believe they can handle it and it is not God's problem or they just simply forget. People can suffer from tunnel vision spiritually. Only when we come back to God can our vision be widened.
