27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. - 1 Corinthians 9:27 NLT
Hello family, I sure that buy now we all realize that following in the footsteps of Christ is no easy task. It frustrates me when at a call for salvation the person speaking paints a picture of no suffering as if its all going to be a cakewalk! Yes, our lives are made better by having Christ at the wheel. But Christ is against the direction of this world, so we will find our self against the flow of traffic. It is not easy!
If following Christ was such a bed of roses, why then would Paul tell us in Ephesians to put on the full armor of God? Why then in 1 Peter are we told to be alert and sober mind? WHY? I will tell you why, we are in an up hill battle! But this up hill battle can and is already won. Just as Christ suffered and worked the ministry assigned to Him, in-spite of persecution. So it is with us! We must walk out the ministry assigned to us, and we will be meet with persecution because we have Christ at the wheel of our lives and He drives against the flow of traffic of this lost world. So discipline your body, keep your mind alert and sober, and continue to daily armor up with the full armor of God!
Much Love & God Bless
