Morning Coffee Revisited: 3/6/15 Death Is Nothing To Be Afraid Of!

“For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:53-55 NLT)

Hello family! Ever been afraid of dying or feared how you would die? I know I have on many occasions. But if you are a child of God, if you have been redeemed by the blood that Christ poured out on the cross, you have nothing to fear! Death is not your destination but eternal life with God!

This mortal body must die in order for us to take on bodies that will last forever. Life is our destiny! The death of this mortal body is just the transition process. Why fear something that will pass? Christ came to give us life! And that is what we will have when we pass from this world to the next. Death is nothing to be afraid of! Fear will only distract you from accomplishing and focusing on what God wants you to do!

“So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children” (Romans 8:15 NLT)

“For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands.” (2 Corinthians 5:1 NLT)
