“Then someone called from the crowd, “Teacher, please tell my brother to divide our father’s estate with me.” Jesus replied, “Friend, who made me a judge over you to decide such things as that?” Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.” (Luke 12:13-15 NLT)
Hello family, We all have aspirations for our career here on earth. It is nice if we get to accomplish the things we aimed to accomplish. But let me give you a word of caution. You are not your career! That is why we see so many athletes messed up when they retire. for five to 10 years they pursue championships in their respected sports. When it is time to hang it up they don’t know what to do. they feel they have lost purpose,
They let their sport consume them so much that they are unable to find purpose without it. That is greed, If we become so attached to something to the point we can function that is greed. You have become consumed by it. What if God said I want you to stop perusing you current career and start a ministry? Would you be ok or would you struggle to let go! Family this is checking me in the heart as well.
You are not what you do, you do what you are and that is a child and servant of God!
Much Love & God Bless
