“but he did not accept Cain and his gift. This made Cain very angry, and he looked dejected. “Why are you so angry?” the Lord asked Cain. “Why do you look so dejected? 7 You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”” (Genesis4:5-7 NLT)
Hello, Family, we are our series a matter of the heart. If you are just joining us in this series go back and read the devotions from 8/2 and 8/3 first. Cain’s heart hardened after his sacrifice was rejected by God. But God offered him a second chance to make things right. God also warned Cain that if he did not get his heart right that sin was waiting to take advantage. But he must change his attitude and not become its victim. As we know Cain did not take the second chance God offered him. He acted out of the bitterness that had set up in his heart and killed his brother.
Family its all a matter of the heart. David wrote about in psalm 51, the outside actions mean nothing if our heart is not right. If we are not acting out of our faith in God then we are acting out of our self and chances are we won’t end up with the result we expect. Let’s not act out of our self, let’s not allow our emotions to get the better of us. Because it will only end badly for us. We will do damage to our self and others.
It is a matter of the heart
Much Love & God Bless
