“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV)
Hello family I know I did an earlier devotion on this passage of scripture. But this one is a little bit different. This past week I almost lost awesome friendship, due to my lack of seeking God for myself. I got caught up in my feelings and emotion and I did not take the information I was receiving and line it up with the word of God.
We all have people that are close to us that give us good advice and guide us on the road of life and it is good to listen to what they are saying. But at the same time we need to go to God in our own private time and take that information to Him. When the scripture says “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:6) It means what it says, in all our thinking, in all our doing, in all our seeking, in all our information receiving, we are to bring it to Him and let Him decide on what we should do. We don’t just go off on our own human knowledge; we can do some serious damage if we act on a situation without hearing from God first.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV) This scripture has new meaning to me. Yes those who have given you good Godly advice in the past are a great asset to have. But remember they are human just like you. They are not God, It is so vital that we take the little, big and medium situations in our life to God. He will give us the right and best way to handle the situation.
Much Love & God Bless
