Morning Coffee 10/17/14 Go And Lay Hands On Hitler!

“In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision,  “Ananias!”    “Yes, Lord,” he answered. The Lord told him,  “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.    In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.”  “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem.  And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.”     But the Lord said to Ananias,  “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.” (Acts 9:10-15 NIV)

Put yourself in Ananias’s position, God has just asked you to go and lay hands on Saul of Tarsus, A modern day comparison would be Adolf Hitler. So here you are in your prayer time being asked by God to and lay hands on this mass murderer. Not exactly something we would put at the top of our list of things for God to use us to do! But this is what Ananias had to do, he had to go and lay hands on the Hitler of his time period. Ananias did question God, but he still obeyed.

God will give us a task that seems like suicide, but we must obey. Every task he gives us won't be a walk in the park. God will give us some tasks that challenge us well beyond our comfort zone and we must obey! Don’t Fear!

(Read Acts Chapter 8)

Much Love & God Bless
