Before we begin, If you are parents of teenagers, young adults, or preteens (at your discretion for the preteens) that are about to become teens please bring them and your spouse in on this devotion. In this day and age this is especially for them. So please find the time today to read this with them! Thank you!

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.  Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:1-2 NIV)

We don’t need to look far to see that today’s media (internet, tv, music, etc.) are growing more and more sexually driven. And encouraging our youth to treat themselves as less than what they really are  The advertisement, music videos, tv shows are promoting a message to young men that women are objects of pleasure. The same message is promoted to our young ladies. And that message feeds off their desire to be accepted by their peers.

Young Men and Young Ladies watch how you dress.  Young Men, your pants don’t belong below your waistline nobody wants to know what brand boxers you wear it is not presentable in any way. Young ladies don’t you don’t need advertise your body, dress yourself with modesty you are a treasure not trash. When you leave the house make sure you look like you are worth something. God doesn’t make bums you are not a bum so don’t dress like one. Ask the Lord on how to put together your daily attire. When we give our life to God, our body becomes his temple and his spirit dwells in us.  You would not want to live in a house of trash it is the same with the Gods spirit. Don’t give the holy spirt a trashy house.

The majority of what you see on tv, Facebook, instagram, etc. is not how God wants you to present yourself. I'm sure your parents have told you this in some way shape or form. They are not just saying it to limit you. God placed them over you to look out for your best. To keep you from getting into a situation that you don’t need to be in.

We were made to serve God with our mind, body and soul, let be pleasing to him Give him you best don’t give Him Trash.

Much Love & God Bless
