Morning Coffee 8/3/14   Own Up To your Mistakes (Don’t Play The Blame Game)

August 3, 2014

“And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else.  Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away.” (James 1:13-14 NLT)

The phrase “The devil made me do it” is such a cop out! We may fool some people here on earth with that mess. But God sees through the escape goat phrases and speaks straight to the heart of the matter. Us!

We (Human kind) don’t like to face the music, when comes to owning up to our mistakes. We like to place the blame elsewhere. Adam put the blame on Eve; And Eve put the blame on the snake. When we mess up, God already knows what happened. So we will only make things worse by trying to “sugar coat” or clean up our story so things don’t seem as bad as they really are..

God is our greatest ally; we are only hurting our self by not being up front and honest with Him. If you mess up, own up to it! You will be a better person for it. We all make mistakes and do things we know we should not do. The key is Honesty. Yes satan does temp us but not 24/7/365. Most of the time it’s our self that temps us the most. Own up to your mistakes! Don’t play the blame game!

Much Love & God Bless
