“When the Lord first began speaking to Israel through Hosea, he said to him, “Go and marry a prostitute, so that some of her children will be conceived in prostitution. This will illustrate how Israel has acted like a prostitute by turning against the Lord and worshiping other gods.” (Hosea 1:2 NLT)
Imagine if God asked you to marry a prostitute. You would think “Are you nuts? I don’t want to marry a prostitute!” Who would want a prostitute as a wife or husband? But you know what, we are like that prostitute sometimes.
We (myself included) don’t always follow the path God set us on. Sometimes we have moments where we reject God and do exactly what we want, knowing that this is not what we should be doing. But, God still want us, so we may have to bump our head a few times before we realize we need God. He will show us the error of our ways so that we can come back to Him.
“But then I will win her back once again. I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her there. I will return her vineyards to her and transform the Valley of Trouble into a gateway of hope. She will give herself to me there, as she did long ago when she was young, when I freed her from her captivity in Egypt.” (Hosea 2:14-15 NLT) Wow! Here is God taking back the very nation that rejected Him! You know what is so beautiful about this? He will do the same for you!
Have you gone astray? Have you backslidden? Were you once walking with Him, but now you have gone off and done your own thing? I am here to let you know He wants you back! He wants to be with you! The Lord knows all your faults; He knows all the wrongs you have done! He is willing and able to forgive and welcome you back into His arms. Christ blood was shed for all our sins; even the ones you did a half hour ago! All you have to do is send up a prayer, cry out to Him! He will hear you!
Lord, forgive me! I have wronged you in so many ways. I want to serve you once again. Here I am humbled before your throne. I am in need of Your Grace, Mercy, and Love. Take me back and be Lord of my life once again! In Jesus name I pray, amen!
Welcome back! God loves you; He has you right now wrapped in His loving arms.
Much Love & God Bless
